Our Integration Engineers are here to support you with starting your OCPP 1.6J journey with Zaptec Pro.

We recommend you first run a single Zaptec Pro in a test setting before updating any installation.

We appreciate any feedback you might have that could help us improve this offering.

While we update your Zaptec Pro device(s), familiarise yourself with the supported OCPP 1.6J messages and configuration keys and the release notes, which document Zaptec custom keys and known limitations.

We recommend a stable WiFi connection for the firmware update. Zaptec Pro M&E and devices produced after April 2025 support the firmware update.

If your Zaptec Pro device(s) are MID, or Pro CC with a serial number from ZPR08xxxx, we'll need to update the OS image. This may take several hours, depending on your connectivity, and will extend the time it takes to update the firmware on your device(s).
